Massachusetts accident under investigation, 5 injured

8/8/2014

A two-vehicle accident in Massachusetts left five people injured and police trying to piece together what happened. According to reports, the car accident occurred on July 25 around 3:29 p.m. The crash happened close to the Tyngsboro Bridge at the intersection of Kendall Road and Middlesex Road. Both vehicles were seriously damaged in the accident, and five people were transported to local hospitals.

One unidentified male was taken to Boston Medical Center by helicopter for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Four others had to be transported to Lowell General Hospital, but their conditions and injuries were not reported. According to reports, one person involved in the crash had to be taken out of the vehicle by local firefighters after the person was trapped in the car.

The serious car accident closed the road and diverted traffic from one of the busiest intersections in town for hours as officers investigated, and the Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team was still on site later that night. The accident was still under investigation, and at the time of reports, officers were trying to verify witness statements that a white Honda Civic had been driving erratically just before the crash.

Sometimes an accident is clearly the fault of one party. Other times, it can be much more complicated, and investigators have to try to piece together what happened during and prior to the crash to try to determine who was at fault. The investigation report and findings are a crucial piece of information for victims considering seeking compensation through the courts for any accident-related expenses or pain and suffering.
