An alleged suicidal driver crashed his vehicle into a full-size pickup, causing an accident that has left at least two people critically injured. According to the news from March 4, the 34-year-old man was driving between 70 and 80 mph when he collided with the other vehicle; he was allegedly high on marijuana and was on the prescription medication Zoloft.
At the scene, the man’s vehicle overturned. The impact of the crash caused two people in the other vehicle to be unconscious when the emergency teams arrived. The other vehicle, a Honda, was driven by a person who saw the man driving toward him; the Honda couldn’t get out of the way, resulting in the crash. The Honda also rolled over, and the people inside had to be extricated.
Following the crash, two people had to be airlifted to the hospital and another was treated locally. The man who caused the accident repeatedly told police that he wanted to die at the scene, and he will need to have a hearing to determine if he’s dangerous to himself or others.
